SABOT-X offers comprehensive Gunnery Skills and Conduct of Fire training tailored for stabilized vehicle crews, available across multiple platforms and devices at any time. Utilizing government-owned software, the program aims to enhance Army readiness by providing effective training solutions. Current training platforms include the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) and the M1 Abrams, with plans to incorporate additional platforms such as the Stryker, M10 Booker, and CROWS in the future.

The training is divided into three distinct modules. The Gunnery Skills module focuses on eliminating resource barriers, increasing training frequency, and minimizing wear and tear on unit equipment during Gunnery Table I assessments. By leveraging Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, Soldiers can engage with virtual weapon systems, thereby complementing standard physical training aids.

The Conduct of Fire module is designed to present more challenging chair drills that help crews identify and resolve issues prior to advancing to Gunnery Tables II and III. By immersing Soldiers in a low-fidelity virtual turret environment, they can partake in dynamic scenarios that foster improved crew communication and maximize the efficacy of Precision Gunnery Trainers.

Finally, the Advanced Gunnery Skills module escalates training complexity by simulating operational faults during the Conduct of Fire exercises. This innovative approach challenges crews to navigate both weapon system and fire control failures, ultimately enhancing their cognitive frameworks and teamwork under pressure. This structured escalation in training rigor significantly prepares crews for real-world scenarios.
